Fokus Development AG purchases the former Hertie store in Höxter

The former Hertie store in Höxter changed ownership. Fokus Development AG, Duisburg, bought the property. The vendor was represented by CR Investment Management GmbH which had the mandate for the so called Mercatoria-Portfolio since 2012.

Axel Funke, CEO of Fokus Development AG said: “We are delighted to have won the bid to acquire the former Hertie building. We will work to ensure that in this prime position not only an attractive retail concept is going to be developed but ensure that the design of the property surpasses the standards for such a prime position.”

Alexander Fischer, Lord Mayor of the town of Höxter said: “We are convinced that Fokus Development is the right partner to improve our town in its most central position. Also we want to use the momentum to recreate our marketplace in parallel.”

In the future the building will be called „Markt1”. Fokus Development is going to redevelop the entire building. An entirely new facade ensures that the building blends nicely with the other traditional facades of Höxter. The redeveloped property will have shopping on three levels and a rentable space of 4,500 sqm. The investment value is approx. Euro 8,5 mio. Construction is scheduled for early 2015.

The town of Höxter and Fokus Development AG want to achieve with this development an important revival of the whole town centre of Höxter. In advance the plans of the development will be introduced to the political committees and consequently to the public. Additionally it is envisaged to regularly inform the public during the whole development phase about progress, milestones and time horizons.

The responsibility for the architecture lies with the Dutch planning specialists TconcepT and msp architekten GmbH, Dortmund. For the building design Fokus will be supported by Assmann Beraten+Planen GmbH.

The Hellmich group of companies and Fokus Development AG purchase the former Hertie store in Minden, Wesertor

The former Hertie store in Minden has a new owner. Hellmich and Fokus purchased the site of the former Hertie store in a joint venture. The Joint Venture plans to redesign and redevelop the building into a new retail centre. The new property will contain rentable space of approx. 12,000 sqm of which approx. 8,000 sqm are retail space. Additionally there will be 230 car-parking spaces.

Walter Hellmich, CEO and owner of Hellmich Group of companies says: „Currently we are redeveloping the former Hertie store in our hometown Dinslaken. The newly created Neutor Galerie will give an important momentum to the town centre. The same as we want to achieve for Minden. We have taken the first step in that direction and I would like to express my gratitude especially to the Lord Major Walter Buhre for his support and the trustful atmosphere during the whole negotiation.”

Max Bögl group of companies appoints Fokus Development AG and Gisela Mezger Vermietungs-Consulting as letting agents for the shopping centre “NeuerMarkt” in Neumarkt i.d. OPf.

Max Bögl group of companies, the developer of the centre “NeuerMarkt” in Neumarkt i. d. OPf. had already appointed at the beginning of March Fokus Development AG and Gisela Mezger Vermietungs-Consulting as letting agents for the retail, gastronomy and service areas. Both companies take over this mandate from Multi Development Germany GmbH.

Johann Braun, MD Max Bögl group of companies says: „We decided to transfer the mandate as letting agents jointly to Fokus Development AG and Frau Gisela Mezger because we are very confident that both will act very target orientated.”

The shopping centre „NeuerMarkt” is being developed in a central position of the town centre of the Bavarian town of Neumarkt i. d. OPf. In a prime position with a pedestrianised connection to the old town centre approx. 23,000 sqm of retail, service area, gastronomy, surgeries offices, a hotel and a multiplex-cinema are being developed. Additionally there are approx. 500 car-parking spaces. The opening of the centre is expected in Autum 2015.
